For the fourth round of semi-finalists, we’re celebrating the amazing ladies of Carthya today, specifically, Imogen and Amarinda. You showed your love for these two in such great ways!
(More is coming about Jaron and Imogen, and about Jaron and his mother.)
Madalyn
I love the happiness in Madalyn’s version of Imogen, and the reminder that she is, after all, the flower girl from THE RUNAWAY KING. No wonder she caught Jaron’s eye!
Jerzey
One of the things I immediately noticed about Jerzey’s work is the difference in class between Amarinda’s and Imogen’s dress. It is obvious who was born a princess, and who was not. Details like that really made this one stand out to me.
Caroline
Caroline took something familiar to readers but switched the perspective to show us the way Imogen might have viewed the arrival of Conner’s orphans. She does a wonderful job with the complexity and confusion of Imogen’s emotions. You can read it HERE.
Nika
Simply put, Nika’s artwork for Imogen and Amarinda are stunning. How I wish I could walk into these drawings and live there for a while.
Desirée
We know that Imogen and Amarinda will eventually become good friends, but the way that friendship began is a missing scene of the story. Desirée fills that scene in so beautifully – this is a wonderful story! Read it HERE!
Kaylie
I don’t think it’s possible for this drawing of Imogen to be any more beautiful. I stare at it and wonder what she is looking at, the thoughts that must be running through her mind, and how she is coping with the sudden complexity of her life.

Bully!!!!! Stop changing things you noob!!! 😂 And yes, you joke a LOT! Remember when Chad kept kissing people, and Hamilton got jealous? Yeah that one was fun..
Hello everyone! Every entry for this contest was extremely well made and i congratulate with everyone who participated, even those who didn’t win, and i thank the author for the opportunity she gave us for creating and sharing our works about this serie we all love.
But i also would like to spend some words to give credit where credit is due: My new friend who helped me making this story so much better than it was thanks to her skills as an editor! Her name is Penelope and she is a great person who helped me immensely!
Again, thank you and congratulations to everyone! I wish you all a great week 🙂
Every writer needs an editor, Desirée, and you clearly have a good one. Thanks for giving her credit, but you deserve this too!
Thank you Mrs Nielsen! I am really grateful to you for appreciating my work! 🙂
I know i put much of the work as well, but my editor just really helped a lot improving my work and i though she deserved the recognition as well since she really put a lot in this as well 🙂
Please have a great week and stay safe! Thank you again for everything! 🙂
Again, all of these are fantastic! I love the focus on Imogen and Amarinda in this post!
I love Madalyn’s artwork, with the blossoms and their roots hanging above Imogen’s head. It looks super clean and sharp, wallpaper worthy.
Desirée’s story immediately hooked me and kept my interest the entire time; I loved the behind the scenes she offered the reader of this friendship. I got excited and a shot of adrenaline when she emphasized on Imogen not using Jaron’s title, returning me back into the series and the lovely romance between Imogen and Jaron that I deeply love.
Jerzey’s attention to detail is quite admirable, and specific touch of the names going vertical was smart and drawing to the eye.
Caroline’s brought me back to Imogen’s past, tainted with lies and mistreatment from fellow servants. Her story reminded me of Imogen’s own trials that helped morph her into the gentle yet strong character I love and how she was a vital part to Jaron’s story.
Nika highlighted the different environments these two young women are placed in, yet also how they thrive no matter their location. Both are beautiful in their own way, and Nika definitely made that clear.
Kaylie’s artwork portrays Imogen in such an elegant way. I love the flowers that seem to resemble the softness and gentle spirit in Imogen’s character, but the strong and sturdy braid that brings us back to Farthenwood and the resilience born within her at that time. And then her face, her hands holding the flowers, it all brings us back that Imogen is still young. She’s not quite innocent anymore, but still pure. The symbolism left to the viewer is beautiful, and I admire this piece very much.
God has definitely given each of these people some serious talent. As a big fan, I love seeing all of these entries and the different perspectives that the book has left us with, all resembling the same thing but still left to our own unique imaginations.
Hello again! Thank you for taking the time to comment both here and on youtube 🙂

Oh my goodness! I love Nika’s Imogen artwork! It is gorgeous!!
Thank you! I really enjoyed making it, and I’m glad you like it!
Once again, I’ve enjoyed seeing the talent of fellow fans so so much!
Madalyn, your art is beautiful, and I love seeing the playful, carefree side of Imogen.
Jerzey, you captured the difference of Amarinda and Imogen’s worlds wonderfully.
Caroline, I loved reading your work from Imogen’s point of view. You did a great job capturing all of the heartbreak and pain Imogen must have gone through before she was released from being a servant.
Nika, your artwork is beautiful, and I love how you captured the personalities of these two women.
Desirée, I’m so happy your work was posted here and I got to read it! You made me smile so much by commenting on our YouTube video. Your writing is amazing. You did a great job writing from Amarinda’s perspective and stayed so true to the characters. Great job!
Kaylie, I love the simplicity of your artwork in the black and white, and the complexity in Imogen’s gaze, clothing, and the flowers she fingers. I don’t know how you imagined it, but I imagine this scene would happen when Imogen managed to escape from Farthenwood for a moment and retreat to nature.
Great job everyone!
Thank you for complimenting my story!
Hello Ava! You’re extremely sweet! Thank you so much for the kind words <3

That’s good to know – thank you. I won’t call Jerzey out on this in public because of her young age, but I appreciate knowing that.
I’m glad I got to see this. They are all so good. Jerzey, I love your artwork. Caroline, I read all of your story and thought it was great-I especially love that you titled it “Speechless.” Nika, I love how you drew the dresses of your artwork.
