If you have read MARK OF THE THIEF, then you know there is a big revelation at the end of the book that will forever change Nic’s life. He is now caught between what he must do and what his magic allows him to do. More important still, Nic is now caught up in the chariot races.
I hope if you started the series, that you will continue with RISE OF THE WOLF.
The drawing for a winner of this book will come from answers on yesterday’s post about MARK OF THE THIEF.

I love all your books (especially the Traitor’s game) and this series is no different. Nic and Aurelia are some if my favorite book characters ever! Do you have any tips on creating compelling characters? Thank you for all of your books, know that each is much enjoyed! Can’t wait to see the results of this contest!
I love that quote graphic!!! 😀
A friend of mine recommended me the Mark of the Thief series, and I’ve been wanting to read it!
I’m in a classical history course and it’s so cool learning more about the setting and things you included in this series!
I loved the detail put into the chariot racing scenes! The little historical facts were really fun to read, like the factions and the lead curse tablets. What’s your process for writing historical fiction? Does the plot come first, the historical background, or both at the same time?
The Mark of the Thief series are one of my favorite books ever!!! I loved learning about Ancient Rome while reading about Nic’s adventures!
I have read most of your books, but I haven’t gotten around to this series yet. I am planning on picking it up soon though.
This series is still one of my top four, the first two being Ascendance and the traitors game. I absolutely love the way nothing makes sense in your books, until it does. Things seem unimportant until they are revealed to be very important. This is such good storytelling.
My super power would be to do good accents!
