I know. I missed yesterday’s post.
And if I’m being honest, I’ll probably miss a couple more, because it’s a really busy month.
BUT, to make up for it, today’s giveaway will be a double one.
First, congratulations to Lily and Grace!
And now, a few words about RESISTANCE.
When the Nazis took over in Krakow, Poland in 1939, one of their early moves was to expel many of the Jewish teenagers from the city. With no idea of where to go, several of the teens eventually ended up on the farm of Shimshon and Gusta Draenger.
For a long time they were sheltered and kept safe from the war. Gradually, they heard what was happening to their families who were trapped back in the Ghetto. By 1943, these young people made the decision to form a resistance cell and fight back against the Nazis.
RESISTANCE is based on their true story.
The book trailer for the novel is HERE.
And for fun, here are a few behind the scenes pictures from the filming!
RESISTANCE is the story of courage, the power of young people, and staying true to yourself. If you have not yet read it, I hope you will check it out.
I have immense respect and admiration for what these resistance fighters did, under the most difficult of situations. If you wish to enter to win a signed copy, please tell me in comments about someone you very much admire.
Winners for this will be announced on Monday.
Remember that if you wish to get a signed copy of any of my books, please order through the King’s English (link below).

I have a friend (who prefers to remain anonymous) who has been through more than a person should ever have to endure. But they are one of the most selfless, optimistic people I’ve ever met, even when they don’t feel so great. I wouldn’t blame them if they were miserable and angry all the time, but I admire how they’ve chosen to keep going and forgive.
I admire my best friend
shes calm and practical and loves jokes, the way she handles high-pressure situations is amazing
Oh my gosh, I love World War 2 stuff SO MUCH. Resistance is one of my favorite books–it had such a good ending! It just gave me chills to the end.
Someone I admire is my sister Baylee. She’s a great singer and a piano prodigy and loves music so much. It’s one of the most important things in her life. She’s also the most amazing big sister ever, like a partner in crime, motivational speaker, relationship consultant, and therapist rolled into one. She helps me write my books and with whatever is going on in my life at the time, most especially my relationship problems. She is the best sister ever!
I nearly cried more times while reading Resistance than any other book, which is a pretty big deal since I rarely cry in books. It’s THAT good. (Okay, to be fair, I think all your books are good…)
I admire a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. So it’s hard to pick just one, but I think I’m actually going to go with you, Mrs. Nielsen. I’ve always admired your talent as a writer and how you take time for your fans/readers. One day in the future, I hope to be an author like that. You’re an inspiration to me!!!! 😀
Oh, and I forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS to Lily and Grace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOO!! 🥳
I admire my parents, they’re always there for me when I need them and they love me so much. And let’s not forget about the great advice I get from them!
Also, talk about entertainment! They are so funny, I’ll be laughing so hard that I’m crying at some of the things that they do!!!
I love this book Resistance! But I’d love to have a signed copy!!!
I agree! Those people in the resistance were so brave!
Someone I admire a lot is my brother. He is so confident and understanding. I love him so much!❤️
I admire Rhyan White because she is such a good swimmer and I want to be able to swim as good as her. I also admire you because you are so good at writing interesting and exciting books!
I also kind of admire Sage because he is so daring and it seems like he is not afraid of anything! 🙂
Oooh! I have yet to read this book and I can’t wait until I do!!!
To be honest, all of my teachers for all the years I’ve been at school are the people that I admire very much. They go through a lot of pain just to be sure that our generation has the knowledge we need to to be able to continue to make the world a better place.
Someone i very much admire is my sister. We are very close and enjoy each other’s company immensely. Even though she is the younger, i still have much to admire in here.
i admire my sister because no matter how hard something is she always tries her hardest.
I addmire my father becuase he always looks out for me.
Hmm I admire a lot of people. But the first that comes to mind is my older sister. She’s currently in a foreign country serving a mission for my church, and she’s such a hard worker and seeing the love she has for these Brazilians is such a good example to me, because I know how hard it is. She’s had ups and downs because it’s just not easy doing what she does. But the fact that she does it every day and keeps going without giving up and by still loving the people she serves…I will always admire her for doing that and being such an amazing example to me and those around her.
Someone I admire very much is my grandmother. She’s very hardworking and constantly helps others 🙂
I greatly admire my mother and father. I can never truly sum up everything they have done for me and everything they sacrificed. All I can say is that they are the best parents I could have ever asked for, and because of them and their support I was able to become someone I am proud to be. They are certifiably awesome!
I really admire my neighbor seatza he was lost to cancer three years ago but while he was here he was the nicest person I’ve ever met and like a grandfather to me
I very much admire YOU, Jennifer! Your books have inspired me so much, and I love your writing style!
I admire my mom very much. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without her. She is the sole reason why I am in this world today, and why I will continue to be so. Just like in WORDS ON FIRE, my mother is so much more than just a six-letter word, she’s someone beyond that. I love my mother very much. ❤
I admire my mom very much. She endures through hardships and doesn’t complain even when she’s in a lot of pain. She is so selfless and the strongest person I know.
Aww, both Lily and I are honored. I just let Lily know. At least I think that it is us. Are we supposed to email you our contact info?
RESISTANCE looks like a great book.
Hi – yes, please do email me (jen@jennielsen.com).
I admire my dad. He’s the most selfless person I know, always able to sacrifice something for others, no matter how small or large, and always putting other’s needs before his own. I hope to become like him one day 🙂
I admire my mom and dad.
I admire Jesus my savior.
I have great admiration for my great grandmother who tells me stories about the Great Depression which she lived through.
I’ve been interested in resistance during World War II lately, so I would say that I also admire resistance fighters. Especially those who fought not for selfish reasons, but because what was happening was wrong.
One person I admire is you. All of your books have inspired me so much and you are my favorite author by far. I never thought about writing books until I read yours and now I want to share the joy you have given me with books of my own. Thank you for your amazing books!
I had a hard time thinking of who to write about because I realized I have a lot whom I admire. I have a huge love for my country and so I would like to write about the brave former chief justice(Chief Justice Antonio Carpio) in our country who continues to rally and educate more people regarding the claim of the Philippines with the West Philippine Sea which have already been decided in favor with our country. I also want to emulate the way he thinks and decides based on interviews which showed that he is one of those to consider as a “great” lawyer. I want to be as great as him in the sense that when I say my opinion people would see that my profession has saturated my whole being that it will not just be purely as as a way to earn money or achieve something but the meat of what I have studied will create an impact with the way that others may view and love their profession
the way that I saw how he really understood the law and was able to explain it in simple terms. My love for country and for wanting to defend it against any form of abuse compelled me to have a dream to be an attorney someday too if God permits and also because I want to be somewhat like that brave chief justice soon.
Someone I admire very much is my dad. He grew up with very little, and has always done everything in his power to make sure that me and my siblings have everything we need. He’s a truck driver, so he often works 12-14 hours a day, on holidays, and he’s worked throughout COVID-19. Even on days when he really doesn’t want to, he works relentlessly. When I get interested in something, such as writing a novel, he’s there to give advice even when it’s not something he’s particularly interested in. To me, he’s the strongest person I know.
My best friend: she always puts a smile on my face, is ready to take a stand, and never backs down!
There’s a lot of people I admire for different things! One of the people I admire most though, is J.R.R. Tolkien… He was the one that first gave me the love of reading that I have now and he’s inspired me in quite a few other ways as well.
I’m a cellist and I really admire Jacqueline du Pré when it comes to that 🙂
My grandma because of how kind and hard-working she was.
I love my family, aunts and uncles and all my cousins so much!
I admire my Grandma who didn’t have much growing up but worked hard to provide for herself and her family. She is the most selfless person I know and such a great role model for me!
The person I admire most, is my mom. Growing up, she had many health problems. She would have to go to the hospital every few weeks.
Yet today, she is one of the strongest people I know.
She’s funny, caring, and she inspires me more than anyone.
I think Anne Frank is awesome!! She was also really brave:)
I love my family, uncles aunts and all my cousins!!
I don’t think I have anyone
I admire one of my best friends. She goes through a lot of difficult family situations, yet she still shows up at school everyday, ready to try her best. She somehow perseveres and doesn’t give up on her dreams! 🙂
I admire my mom. She probably doesn’t know it but I look up to her.
Comment I admire my parents
Someone I greatly admire is Zendaya. She’s an amazing dancer, singer, and actress, already at such a young age. She makes impossible things seem achievable to me.
Myfather
I admire my mom very much. She is always there for me when I need help. She always drives me to wherever I need to go. She’s so supportive of me. 😊
I love the book trailer for Resistance!!!!!!:D
Someone I admire is my sister’s old friend. I admire how this person stands strong for her faith in Christ and how passionate she is about Jesus. She is truly an inspiration for me!
Mom and dad
I have been researching the Holocaust a lot lately and this book fascinates me so much! It is definitely on my list of ‘must-reads’. Someone I admire very much– of course I want to say, my Mother. She is very hardworking and has shown me how to stay true to myself. I can’t end this without saying I admire you, Jennifer Nielsen! You got me into reading and writing with your books and I can’t thank you enough! I admire the dedication you put into all of them, and I’m grateful for such an example.
I love my family and all my cousins a LOT!
I admire my father because even though he had multiple challenges against him, he still worked hard and achieved his dream, even when very few people thought him capable of achieving it.
So, this is going to sound very cheesy but I admire most authors. As a person who wants to get published I know how hard it is and how much they must have worked to get where they are.
I admire my mom because she is has raised 7 kids and is still going!
I admire my Grandpa because of his confidence in his beliefs
I admire my daughter Taylor. She is so smart, talented, and fun! She works really hard, takes good care of her horse and she has good grades in school. She has an amazing voice and I am super proud of her!
I was at the Provo Library when you talked about Resistance, and I knew I had to read it after hearing the history. I loved it! Thank you for preserving these stories. I didn’t know it was being filmed!
I admire my second favorite author a lot (first is you!) because Shannon Messenger kept fixing her draft from her first book and she kept going and providing content for her readers after she was pregnant and divorced. I also admire my grandparents for all of the sacrifices they made to send their kids to America.
