Answers to yesterday’s trivia game will be posted next Tuesday. In the meantime…
This is a Wonderful Wednesday – because I have some great news for Back to School events!
#1 FREE OCTOBER ZOOMS!
EDIT – SORRY, BUT MY SCHEDULE IS NOW FULL! THANKS TO ALL WHO SIGNED UP!
That’s right – I will Skype/Zoom/Hangout – FOR FREE – with your grade/class/book club throughout the month of October.
Seriously, for free? Seriously! BUT – I do have one request, that you introduce your students to my books (specifically the Ascendance series) and encourage them to purchase any of my books from the Ascendance series. As part of my thanks to the students who purchase, I will send signed and personalized bookplates and some other cool swag.
Students, tell your teachers! Teachers and librarians, to schedule, contact me here.
#2 VIRTUAL VISITS ALL YEAR!
I am scheduling now for virtual visits throughout the year. Please see my VISITS page for details. If your school is open for modified in-person visits, please contact me for more information.
#3 FIRST CHAPTER READ ALOUDS!
Last spring, I began to offer first chapter read alouds, and I will continue that this fall. But you can get started with these:
#4 WEDNESDAY WRITING
Each Wednesday, I will post a (usually) brief video with writing tips or prompts – something teachers can offer students to encourage their individual writing. The links will appear on my FOR TEACHERS page.
#5 NEED SOMETHING ELSE?
Ask me, and I’ll see what I can do!

WOW, it’s amazing how far above and beyond you go for your readers/fans. That’s why I always say that if I ever get to be a published author, I want to be one like you. Thanks for all the inspiration and all the things you do!! I don’t know of any author out there like you!!!
Thank you, Issabelle!
I would love a virtual visit anytime for the past 4 years my students do a novel study of A Night Divided. It quickly becomes everyone’s favorite book.
Thanks so much, Vickie. Can you email me at jen@jennielsen.com? That way I can keep all of these conversations in one place.
Amazing! Super cool that you’re really involved with the fanbase surrounding your books!
Would love to host you … I keep planning to retire but people just laugh Dixon middle school
I laughed when you told me you were retiring too – you’re just too invaluable there. Can you email me at jen@jennielsen.com? That way I can keep all of these conversations in one place.

Hi Kim – that’s awesome! Can you email me at jen@jennielsen.com? That way I can keep all of these conversations in one place.
Oh my god! I cant wait
I love this Jen!! I’m forwarding it to our librarian!!😉❤️❤️ You are such a great writer!!👍
Aw, thank you, Linda!
You are amazing, Jennifer. Thank you for all of these opportunities to visit with you virtually. At Eduprize, we went back to school in person this week, on August 31st. Students will start listening to the audio version of A Night Divided this week. I’ve also had students inquire about your books already. My teaching partner and I would love an opportunity to zoom with you. Let me know which month you’d prefer-depending on your preference of discussing A Night Divided or the False Prince series. Thank you
Hi Kelly, can you email me at jen@jennielsen.com? Then I can keep all of these conversations in one place.
