I think I’d be most excited to get Traitor’s Game! My best gift this year (and probably ever) was a journal my best friend spent hours filling with recipes, quotes, runes, and lyrics and things to create a travel journal kept by one of my favorite characters from a podcast we both love! My favorite gift this season was reflecting on my grandmother’s life. She passed away at the age of 91 early on Christmas Eve. She was ready, and it was simply beautiful to read the tributes posted to Facebook by my cousins and sister. She loved her family so very well.

I think my favorite gift is a toss up between my new backpack and the book plates my brother got me. I would most want a signed copy of ‘The False Prince’ or ‘The Runaway King’ Because I loved the Ascendance Trilogy but I only own ‘The Shadow Throne.’
My little boy loves a good, roaring fire. A few weeks ago he asked if we could build a fireplace in his room. My favorite gift was seeing him open up the electric fireplace with lively simulated flames and temperature control that will go under his window.

So, my wife and I lost our son 5 months ago—passed during birth. All things considered, our family has been doing really well.
As a Christmas gift to our family we decided to take a surprise vacation to my sister-in-laws. It was the girls first time in the mountains with snow.

He was so excited when he saw it under the tree, and has been carrying it around and snuggling with it all day! As for my favourite Christmas gift, well, my favourite would certainly be the gift of salvation from Jesus and of course the special and important time spent with family. Those things and memories are absolutely irreplaceable! I’m so thankful to be blessed to have the time to spend with my family.

I always gets lots of books this year, but my favorite present is probably getting to take my sister to college with me in January. It’ll be her first semester, and I’ve been the only kid out of us four to leave the house the past almost five years. I’m so excited to go on a big adventure with her!
And oh, GOLLY. Is all of the above an option? Haha, I am kidding. I’d probably pick the ARC signed copy of The Deceiver’s Heart or a signed copy of the last book in the Ascendance Trilogy, since that’d mean a lot.

My favorite gift…hmm! I always get a lot of books (gotta get that personal library build somehow), but I think my favorite gift this year is getting to take my sister to college with me. Hi Jennifer! My favorite gift was a book from one of my other favorite authors, Colleen Houck. It was a signed copy of The Lantern’s Ember! It was pretty neat because she included other fun things like bookmarks, book patches, zombie playing cards, a facial mask and a sucker! What was your favorite gift? I finally received a new alarm clock. As exciting as that sounds, I was actually really excited. Now I won’t wake up and want to chuck my old ( and very annoying) one across the room. I think it would be very cool to have the Decievers Heart. I’ve still kept my tiny chocolate version until it comes out! (Self control, I know😉)

My mom writes a Christmas letter every year and this year she gave all her kids a binder with all the letters in. There’s like 26. I’ve enjoyed reading those.

My favorite gift was for my daughter and myself…a road trip to Bellingham, WA to attend the WWU Children’s Literature Conference. As a teacher, I love going to meet and listen to authors/illustrators. And this time I’ll bring my teen daughter so we can check out the college campus (and she can help drive!).
I have read The Resistance. So if given a choice, I might pick that. But I’d almost rather not choose so that I could try something new. And who could pass up an ARC?!! Those are basically equivalent to gold right?

My favorite gift was an ornament from one of my students that says “Ms. Smith”. The prize I would most want is the signed copy of Resistance. I bought a copy when it came out, but one of my students has since misplaced it.
