I hope everyone is enjoying their New Year’s. Mine is already a bit crazy so I’ve got a lot of news. Stop by each book cover’s picture for news.
THE TRAITOR’S GAME has been nominated for the 2019 Teen Choice Awards! Teens can vote for up to five of their favorite titles until Feb 1. If you’re a teen, I’m asking you to visit the site and please register your votes. That will make a huge impact on the book.
Also, THE TRAITOR’S GAME will be released in paperback on January 29th. If you’ve been waiting to read the book until it’s a little more affordable, now is the time! Get ready because book 2, THE DECEIVER’S HEART, will be released only one month later!
Among other awesome lists, RESISTANCE was included by A Mighty Girl as one of their Best Books of 2018. My thanks to them. Also, because of high demand, it was super out of stock at Amazon over the holidays, but it’s back now. If that’s your venue, you’ll find it there. Finally, if you are A) an artist (or know one) and B) an Ascendance Trilogy fan, I am looking for art from the book to include in a future video. Please send it to me at jen@jennielsen.com. Sending the art constitutes your agreement for me to use the art in public. I will credit you and/or your website for everything I use.

The ”art from the book thing” does that mean one has to draw, paint etc… according to a sene from TFP?
Any type of art related to the series – depicting a scene, drawing a character, drawing a place described – really anything, and in any style of art. I just need a way to show it.
Super exciting and congratulations on the nomination! I am (somewhat/sort of) an artist, so I would love to try my (unskillful) hands at some Ascendance Trilogy art. I have seen and already saved some amazing pieces from other people. Is that website a part of this blog, or is it somewhere else entirely? Thank you and good luck to those in the giveaway!

Just voted for the Traitor’s Game and I can talk about lately is the Deciever’s Heart. I am sure my parents, brother, and friends, are all sick of my repeated saying “did you know the Deciever’s Heart is coming out next month???”
I would love to do some art too!!! I was planning to sometime anyway. Is there a certain time you would like the art by?
Also one more thing, this is not very good feedback I suppose but my dad has listened to The Traitor’s Game on audio book and he says he likes the Ascendance Trilogy more because he felt like there was too much romance in The Traitor’s Game.
I also prefer the romance in smaller amounts like how you did in The Ascendance Trilogy, The Mark of the Thief, and The Scourge, but please don’t listen to this feedback too much because this is just one tiny opinion and my brother and I still loved The Traitor’s Game.

I voted, and then I noticed it was Teen’s Choice. I am old enough to be three teens, so maybe I should have not voted at all, or voted three times. Anyways, I found a teen who would have voted for the book if she had known, and told her that I spoke on her behalf. She consented. Oops. Thanks for the giveaway, I promised that same teen we would enter some giveaways because she can’t wait to read The Deceiver’s Heart.
