Awesome, and thank you! That’s my local indie bookstore and they’ve been hit hard by the pandemic. Order any of my books from them by Thursday, October 8, and:
- I will sign and personalize your book.
- I will enter you to win an ARC of book 5.
- I will include some exclusive swag.
- The bookstore will ship it to you.
You can find a link to my books below. On the page where you check out, there’s a section marked as NOTES. That’s where you write down how you want the book personalized (your name, someone else’s name, signature only, etc).

We can still be friends. I hope you will ask your local library or school library to purchase the book and have it in stock, and that you will recommend the Ascendance series to friends – your recommendation is more powerful than any marketing I can do on my own, so I am always greatly appreciative of that. And I hope you will still find a copy to read, because I’m very proud of this book and so excited to share it with you!
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH THE LAUNCH PARTY?
It will be on October 1st at 7 pm MST/9 pm EST. I know that’s a little late for East Coasters, but this might be worthwhile for you to hang out with us. There will be some great giveaways, including a signed first edition book from a very big name author, and it should be a lot of fun. I will post the link as the event gets closer.

Waaaah!! I really want a signed copy of the book. I wish I could’ve ordered from that store but I’m not from the US. I’ve already pre-ordered The Captive Kingdom and I can’t wait to read it!! Only problem is, it would take at least a month until it gets delivered to our country. It’s fine though, I’ve waited years for a fourth book I can wait a month more hehe. I love the Ascendance Series so much. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I’m such a big fan Mrs. Nielsen!!!! Much love from overseas fans too!!!!!!!!!

The swag will include some original art, instructions on how to do a coin roll, maybe some other stuff – still working on the details, and the book itself will be signed to you. But it would also be awesome for you to support your local bookstore. For that, I will still send a signed sticker and you will still be entered to win an ARC of book 5.

Random question: So, after doing the trivia yesterday, I was wondering if you knew the name to Nila’s mother. I don’t think it’s mentioned in the books.

I can not wait for the Captive Kingdom and the release party! This is literally what I have been waiting for since the end of Shadow Throne. I know this is a pretty dumb question but I was wondering, since Jaron is a III, his father must share the name right?
If so, what did Erin call them to discern who she was talking to and did she oppose the idea of naming her son after her husband? Also, why did they not name Darius as Jaron Artolious Eckbert III since he was the eldest and heir?
Follow up question, what is Darius full name?

Jaron was named for his grandfather, so there was never any problem for Erin. His father is King Eckbert Euclan II, named for his own grandfather. Darius was simply the Crown Prince Darius Eckbert I.

I have a plan. For my birthday last December I got a Barnes and Noble gift card. I have been saving it, despite great tempatation I even had to write on it “Save for Captive Kingdom”, and on October 6th I am going to march into the nearest store grab the first copy I see.

I’m sorry to bother, bit i have a question regarding this. I preordered the book, but i preordered the kindle version, for i recently mostly order books from kindle. Does that still count at least for being signed into the giveaway for the book ARC, or it doesn’t because it’s not a physical copy?

I hope Veldergrath will be in the shattered castle, maybe to take revenge on Jaron? I feel like we should here more about him because he seems like a interesting character. I also have a questions for you about the traitor games trilogy. Why did lord Endrick not save Henry when he died when the bridge collapsed?

And on Traitor’s Game, Lord Endrick didn’t consider Henry valuable enough to be worth saving. In general, he values no one but himself.
