I’ll be honest. I really wanted to do an Ascendance Valentine’s Day story for today’s post, but every time I tried, there was an interruption. So one will come but it’s gonna be late.
Which is fine, because I’m actually releasing RESCUE in only TWO WEEKS! So please enjoy today’s pic and please consider getting your own copy.

YESSSS!!!!!! I will ABSOLUTELY 100% be getting a copy and tell every random person I meet that they NEED one too!!!!!! *eagerly awaiting until Rescue is released* CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First of all: *Me thinking how I would LOVE another Ascendance short story!
Second: I cannot wait for Rescue! I am so excited!
Third: *Me knowing how good the book is going to be from the quote above and the other quotes given!
I cannot wait!
So excited for the release of your book! I read an ARC and loved it! And your picture is awesome and really captures your story.
So excited and looking forward! I noticed that your historical fiction all sort of revolves around the WW2 time period. Just curious, why is that?
I don’t know if it necessarily revolves around WW2 as much as it’s that I prefer writing a more modern history (20th Century), and with WW2 almost in the middle of the century, it feels like everything branches out from there. I hope that makes sense.
Hello Mrs. Nielsen!
This is so exciting! I actually didn’t like historical fiction much – that is, until I read A NIGHT DIVIDED. It was the first book of yours that I read, and Gerta found a place in my heart almost immediately, followed by Jaron, Imogen, Roden, Tobias, Mott, and Amarinda in the Ascendance series. I can’t wait for RESCUE, and I’m certain you will not disappoint with Meg Kenyon. 🙂
Happy St. Valentine’s Day, and God bless you.

I can’t wait for the release of the book and for the short story!
This book was so great. I have it out with a student now. I thought he was reading it, but then I spotted him with another book that he said he had forgotten that he had to read first. It’s A Night Divided. So, I think he has a great reading plan for February.
I love that quote, it can be used to talk about a lot of situations where we find ourselves in a murky middle.
That’s awesome – thank you, Aaron!
Wow! Very excited for Rescue and it’s fine that the Ascendance story was going to come late. I think it’s really nice that you make a lot of short stories for your books!
I’ve been saving my Barnes & Noble gift card I got from Christmas for this book. Only two more weeks – I can’t wait!
