I’m writing my next series now, Hannah. It’ll be different, of course, but still have a lot of the elements you’ve loved in this one.

I absolutely adore your novels! I teach Language Arts at a Middle School in Arizona and have slowly gotten my students hooked on your novels. I appreciate the rich language that you incorporate into your novels while still keeping your storyline fastpaced and engaging. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that your publisher will approve me for an advanced reading copy of The Shadow Throne on Netgalley!

          • January 28, 2014, 9:49 pm

Oh my gosh! Please! Is there any way MY school could host your trip? I really want you to meet me!

          • January 29, 2014, 4:59 am

Hee-hee – that’s a request that’d have to come through your school’s librarian. Maybe one day something like that will work out, right?

Come on! But really, how can I ask my school to contact you. Like, should I tell my librarian or princpal or what?

I wish I could go. But you’re pretty much on the other side of the country~ Still only 16 more days until it out! If possible, do you think you would make a movie? I would see it like 100 times if there was one to be made.

Thanks Rose! And Paramount is writing a screenplay – keep your fingers crossed that they like it enough to make the movie!

That’s funny, Natasha – U.S. way of writing dates vs the rest of the world! Aussie sounds pretty nice right now. It’s cold here!

    Wish I could go 🙁
But my family is too tight right now….
I’ve wanted to be an author all my life, but I can’t seem to get a story done….wish I could write an inspiring, epic story like you one day 🙂
i’ve gotten the courage to give it another try and signed up for some writing courses, hopefully they will help 🙂
can’t wait for The Shadow Throne! You’ve made me wait too long haha
Looking forward to more of your stories 🙂

Thanks Rubi! And maybe right now isn’t the time to be doing an epic story. Maybe you can start with simple character sketches, short stories, or poetry. You’ll learn a ton from all of that. Good luck!

Nope. The movie hasn’t even been green lighted yet – the screenplay is still being written. Once it’s finished, then Paramount will decide whether to approve the movie or not. Keep your fingers crossed!

I love your books. Including the Runaway King. How do you come with this stuff? And also is your 3rd book going to be on scholastic?

Thank you, Josie. I come up with this stuff through heavy doses of dark chocolate and severe sleep shortages. The third book should be on Scholastic, and everywhere, tomorrow. Happy reading!

Is Jaron and Imogene going get married in the forth book or is Jaron and Amarinda?

    • Reply
      February 25, 2014, 4:48 am

That just may have to be determined by who survives, and/or which girl is willing to have Jaron by the end of the series. 😉
