Giveaway for my Facebook Fans! Jennifer Nielsen June 4, 2018

Giveaway for my Facebook Fans!

This week, I’m celebrating +2000 likes on my author page on Facebook. To thank my fans there, I’m offering a giveaway of one of my books of the winner’s choice, including an arc of RESISTANCE.

And the best part is that to win, you get to give me your opinion on a most important question. I’ll tease it here, but remember, the only way to enter the contest is to answer the question in the comments on my author page HERE.

Question:I’m still hard at work on THE TRAITOR’S GAME series and other projects, but after that, what would you hope I write next?

  1. Another book in the Ascendance Trilogy (THE FALSE PRINCE)
  2. Another book in the MARK OF THE THIEF series
  3. Another historical like A NIGHT DIVIDED or RESISTANCE
  4. Something totally new that you haven’t seen from me yet

Remember, you can only enter by giving comments on Facebook, but here’s the extra bonus – for every 50 likes I add to my page before this contest ends, I will choose another winner! So if you haven’t liked the page yet, or if you have any friends who might want to like it, that may boost your odds of getting a signed book!

The contest ends on June 10that midnight EST. International entries are allowed.

    Hi Mrs. Nielsen!
I’m not on Facebook so I can’t win this contest but i think that I would probably want to something totally new because you should only do something that you know and want to do, mainly because I know and have read a lot of “add on books” and prequel from other authors who only do these books for money or because fans want them. Unfortunately most of these books don’t live up to expectations and instead feel dry and forced. I think that for both The Mark of the Thief series ended really really well so if anything, I think that a prequel would be better as it might be interesting to learn about Nic’s father. For the Ascendance Trilogy, I’m not sure about a prequel since we already know a lot about Jaron’s early life and how he came to the orphanage and all the conflicts of the books were completely resolved in The Shadow Throne. But, if anyone can create a great conflict it’s you! I completely trust you to write yet another great book. Thank you!

Man, that’s so exciting!! Except that I don’t have Facebook… Can say what you should write next anyway without enetering? I think it would be cool if you wrote another Ascendance Trilogy book, but at the same time, I’m not completely sure about it. Same with Mark of the Thief, I think those characters have gone through a lot, and are enjoying their happy endings right now.:) Another historical would be really cool!! Or maybe something completely new. Those would be exciting!!

Congratulations, sadly I don’t have Facebook, but I think it would be amazing if you added to the Ascendance Trilogy, especially if you did it with say Imogen and Jaron’s children when they are teenagers and all of the other characters are adults. It would also be cool if you added a new project. Good luck to all the participants and again congratulations on your likes!

Hi, I also don’t have a Facebook account, but I would still like to give you some feedback if that’s ok.😊 Bill Watterson once said something along the lines of “ I would rather have people wishing they had more of a good thing rather than wishing that they had less of too much of a good thing.” I think that this applies to The Ascendece trilogy, and also to Mark of the Theif. It would be really awesome to see something new we haven’t seen before. I know that a lot of people say that they want more info on Jaron and crew, but personally I think it’s awesome where it’s at. I will stop blabbering on now, but I hope that helps a little bit.

Hi Mrs Nielsen! I’ve already commented on Facebook, but I’ve been thinking about what others are saying…. if you continue the Ascendance Trilogy story, I think that there is a (small)possibility that it could be a let down. You could also do a side story, like of someone’s backstory or a story of someone connected to the original trilogy(does that make sense?). Still, I would love to have another story in line with the original trilogy, and if anyone could do it well, it’d be you!

Congrats on the 2000+ likes!!! I had to go through the trouble of borrowing my sibling’s facebook account, because I am not into social media. I’ve already left my comment there.

I’d love to read another book from the Ascendance series, but on second thought I think it has ended perfectly fine. The story was wrapped up neatly with no loose ends and to start another book will be a challenge. And there’s going to be a lot of hype, and the expectations of the fans will reach the sky. So no matter how good the new sequel will be fans will never be satisfied with it – we’ll feel like there was something missing, so, it’s better for me to read something new that you have never done.

P.S: (This is some random feedback that I wanted to give you) I always wondered why your fantasy books do not get that kinda media publicity and attention that other fantasy books does, and I concluded that your books are great – awesome plot (page turner type) but what they lack is some rich culture like other fantasy books does. But, then, it’s just my opinion. I hope my feedback will be of a tiny bit of help.

Okay so this isn’t about the contest but I have something to say about The Traitor’s Game. At first I thought I wasn’t going to like it so I didn’t check it out until months later, when I had nothing else to read. But, boy, was I gald I read it! I completely fell in love with it- the plot, the characters, the chemistry- I LOVED it! I think it is the best book you have written (in my own opinon) and I am so hyped for Book 2. AHHH SO EXCITED!!

K, I know this is too late to enter the contest, but I saw this and wanted to say I’d love to see you do a new fantasy book/series like before!! =DD The Ascendance Trilogy was absolutely amazingly awesome and actually astonishingly awe-inspiring (and I could go on) but I think The Shadow Throne ended it so perfectly and it’s just perfect the way it is. =D I still have yet to read your other works (although I have read the Traitor’s Game and am indescribably hyped for The Deceiver’s Heart.)
