Signed Holiday Books

As is my tradition, once again I am offering signed books for the holidays. If you want one for yourself or as a gift, here are your options:

  1. Buy the books of your choice from my local indie, The King’s English Bookshop. At checkout, in ‘Notes,’ put in the name of the person to whom you want the book signed. Once I’ve signed it, King’s English will send the books to you.

  1. You can buy the book on your own and send it to me with return postage included. Send a request for my mailing address at jen@jennielsen.com, then send me your book. I will sign and return it.

  1. You can buy the book on your own and send me your mailing address and I will send you a signed bookplate to stick inside the cover of your book.

This is such a cool and fun tradition you have going on. All of the books I have from you are in audiobook form and a little old and worn, so I don’t know if that would count for a signing if I sent them to you. Either way, this is a super nice thing you have going on, and I hope you continue it. It’s also too bad that my pre-ordered audiobook for Deceiver’s heart won’t be here in time for me to send it for you to signing. Oh well, better luck next time. Wishing you the best!

Thanks very much, Abby! I’m glad you have the audiobooks, even if they are more difficult to sign!

I’ve bought a couple books from Amazon that I think would be cool to be signed. Can I be sent a couple bookplates??? I have Wrath of the Storm and Resistance that aren’t signed. The rest are all signed from when you visited, but I got those two books after that. And I agree Abby, this is a cool tradition!;)

Do we send our mailing address to jen@jennielsen.com if we would like a signed bookplate?

This is such an awesome idea! I love that you have such a kind and cool tradition. I really love the fact that you communicate so much with your fans and do fun and kind things like this. Makes me respect you as an author even more so!

Are the bookplates still available? I realise I comepletely missed this blog post until now! Also, if they are still available, are they free or do you need to pay for them/postage? And if so what means of payment do you use? I’d love to get/purchase some for the books that I don’t have signed!

Also, after an insanely busy time I finally got to finishing Resitance. I enjoyed it quite a bit and appreciated the way you brought up the issues the surrounded the time back then. I learned a few new things about the resitance because of the book. This may sound odd, but as saddening as it was to lose some characters toward the end, I really appreciated the fact that you kept it real. In that situation not everyone made it, it wasn’t necessarily a happy ending for most and a lot of people sacrificed themselves. I thought it was appropriate and really helped show just how serious things were.

Once again you did such a. Wonderful job on writing a great book!

Also, I hope you and your family had happy thanksgiving and that you all will have a very merry Christmas!

After reading THE FALSE PRINCE SERIES and THE TRAITOR’S GAME Jaron and Kestra both share the same features. Green eyes and brown hair. So I made up a theory. What if they are gender swapped or related? Or just simply based off of each other. 🤔 Yet, Imogen and Simon act quite similar. They all do. It’s like the books are connected.

Hmm, interesting theory, Cheyne. Certainly all of my characters come from me, so it would make sense if you see similarities among them.

I noticed that too, I didn’t think they were gender swapped or related, but I definitely see the similarities between them physically as well as attitude and behavior wise. Same with Simon and Imogen, but like Mrs. Nielsen said, they come from her, so it makes sense they are similar.

So just to clarify, do we need to buy a book in order to be sent a bookplate?

No, you do not need to buy a book. If you already own one and want a bookplate for it, that’s fine.

Ooooo, I wonder if I’m too late to the party. My childhood wouldn’t have been the same without my beloved copies of the Ascendance Trilogy (which I would love to reread if high school language arts wasn’t so heavy in required reading).

I would love to get one signed, but which one? The first one, which started it all? The second one, which I was informed of through a game I loved? The third one, which I got on the release date and freaked out in English class over in 7th grade?

I guess I have a year to decide! Best wishes!

It would be so cool to have one of your books signed! I literally own all your books so far, and have been lending them to my friends and family! Would I still be able to send one to you to sign?
