Well, it was released yesterday, but I’m finally getting to this now. Here’s a summary!
Kestra Dallisor has finally gained possession of the Olden Blade. With the dagger in her control, she attempts to destroy the tyrannical Lord Endrick. But when Kestra fails, the king strips her of her memory, and leaves her weak and uncertain, bound to obey him. Heartbroken, Simon is desperate to return Kestra to the rebel she was, but refuses to use magic to heal her. With untrusting Coracks and Halderians threatening to capture and kill her, and war looming on the horizon, Kestra and Simon will have to learn to trust each other again if they have any hope of surviving. But can a heart once broken ever be healed?

Hi, Just wanted to say how much I love all your books! I have reread the Ascendance Trilogy multiple times and I absolutely love the Mark of the Thief trilogy. I got my copy in the mail and finished half already…which means I didn’t sleep at all last night oops. I love it!! Except…what started on page 235, let’s just say that is not what I wanted haha and I wish things could go back the way they were. But I promised myself I won’t read ahead, so I guess I’ll have to stay up all night again! Great writing!

Both books are so so soooooo good! I loved them and literally couldn’t put them down. The books were addicting and I can’t wait for the third book!!! (SPOILER COMING UP) I hope Kestra and Simon manage to have a happy ending… they’ve been through so much with each other and for each other. (SPOILER DONE). But basically, I LOVE THIS SERIES! I’m definitely recommending it to all my friends!

Thank you, Chloe – but I really don’t base my characters off real people, aside from a few random traits. I’m so cruel to my characters, if they were connected to real people, I’d never be able to be as cruel as I need to be to them.

WOW. I just finished the Deceiver’s Heart! I loved the first book, the Traitor’s Game soooooooooo much! But after reading the second book, I am on fire for the series even more!!! I don’t think I can wait for the third book! Thank you so much!!! There is so much fire and passion in these books!! I am stoked for the next book and the Deceiver’s Heart was LIT! I almost read it in 24 hours cause I could not stop reading. I felt every emotion the characters were feeling, and I believe that is a mark of a true writer, so again THANK YOU! Don’t stop putting fire in your books!

I pre-ordered my audiobook copy months ago, but only just got it yesterday (thanks to snowmaggedon delivery delays). I binge-listened to it over about a 24 hour period, and cannot wait for book three!!! Ohh, why do new books take so long to come out?!
I think I might have liked the second book a bit more than the first. The first made the romance between Simon and Kestra seem a bit rushed seeing as they were complete enemies and then love interests within a few days. However, the romantic tension in this book was all the better due to a relationship already having been there, and just Kestra and Simon trying to access it. I definitely had moments of “don’t pull away again, Kestra” and “Simon, don’t be stupid and forget about her”!!
Anyways, in the end I hope they end up together and have a lovely, happy ending…PLEASE!!! Again, cannot wait for book three (which is ALWAYS the issue when you binge read a book and then have to wait a WHOLE YEAR for the next one!), so I’ll just be (not so) patiently waiting for the next installment. Again thank you Mrs. Nielsen for everything. Keep up the good work, and I swear, if Harlin gets in the way of Simon and Kestra…there will be CONSEQUENCES for her…mwahahaha. Just kidding (maybe).
