RESCUE is now out in the world!
And in celebration, today’s video discusses the career of an author. Thanks to those of you who asked such great questions. One more video is still to come on Sunday.
If you’re interested in ordering a copy of RESCUE for yourself (or any of my books), here are a few links you can use:
If you want a signed book from me, please order from The King’s English. In the notes or comments section at checkout, please tell them you want this book to be signed AND if you want your name in it, tell them that name too. I’ll sign it and they’ll ship it!

Thank you! Can you also do a video on publishing (self-publish v.s. agent) (where to find agents) (pros and cons) if you have time of course!
I’ll give that some thought. I probably can.
Of course! Thank you!
Loved the video, Mrs. Nielsen! I was watching it, and I had a question about the writing process–how long did it take from your first draft to being able to publish (or have ARCs available)?
My writing time is about 4-6 months on average, but there are things for the publisher to do also, so the total time is about one year.
Thanks so much for another fantastic chat. I really enjoyed learning about your writing life. From what I’ve learned from hearing you talk, I’m not surprised that you always have so many projects you’re working on. And it’s amazing that you’ve written so many books since you debuted. You’re an inspiration.
Thanks, Natalie.
What you said about picking your top three things will be super helpful for me! Even though I am not an author, I do have a lot of things to get done especially since I have school during the week. Thank you so much!
Eeeekkk, I got SO excited when I saw you answered my question. That seriously just made my whole day! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!!! <333 (Oh, and LOOOVED the part about the ice cream. 😂)
Congrats on releasing you twentieth book!!!!!!🎉 That’s amazing!!!!!!😀 And the book chat was so helpful! I feel down about my writing all the time. Thank you so much for sharing how you handle it!!
Because you have multiple books coming out in the next few months. How much time do you spend on one book every day?
It varies, but I do write nearly every day to keep up with my deadlines. Good thing I love what I do!
