I would love to win a copy of The Shadow Throne. My 9 and 10-year-old daughters and I are just dying to read the final book in this trilogy. We would donate it to their school library when we are done, as it is extremely underfunded and under supplied.

Omigosh, I just preordered Shadow Throne the other day! I’d like to enter for a signed ARC here anyway, and I’ll just unorder it if I win. 😀 I’d also, If its not too much trouble, like the Spanish FALSE PRINCE for myself. I’m reading books in Spanish for school (I’m home schooled), and I would love to read FP! 😀

It would be really great to have an ARC copy of “The Shadow Throne.” I started reading this series when it came out and immediately enjoyed it. It became tied for my favorite book. I feel like it would be amazing to say that I have an ARC copy of “The Shadow Throne.”

I already bought all 3 books in the trilogy for my Nook, so I will be donating my copy of The Runaway King so I’d love to win The Shadow Throne for my middle school library! As a school librarian, I love when I can get kids excited about a new series- and The False Prince is already flying off of the shelves!

Thanks for “chatting” with me on Twitter yesterday and on Jan. 7! I must say that in my geeky, librarian world, connecting with an author directly really excites me, especially when I love the author’s books as much as I do yours! I would be happy with any of your books for my library- my students already love the Ascendance Series! If I had to pick, I’d probably choose The Runaway King (then I’d keep my hardcover copy!).

I would love to win a copy of The Shadow Thrones. I have about five students who have either finished or are working on The Runaway King at the moment, and they keep asking me if I plan on buying the final book. I also have another five students who have read or are reading The False Prince and they can’t put it down. I do of course plan on getting a copy of the final book, but it would be a joy to be able to surprise the students with an advanced reader copy. Thank you for the joy you have brought into my students’ lives.

I would love to win the The Shadow Throne to donate to the kids in my class from last year who have been waiting patiently since last April for it to come out! They come by my classroom at least once a week to see when it is going to be here!

I would also love the Le Faux Prince (French THE FALSE PRINCE) to put in our school library. We are working on adding more international language books to encourage our kids to speak and read in their mother tongue and we have a number of french speaking students (I live in Canada).

It would make me so happy to receive Le Faux Prince (French THE FALSE PRINCE) as I am studying French this year. Having already read the English version I would love to read this in an attempt to improve some of my French vocabulary and enjoy the book for another time. After I have devoured the book in all its glory, I will gladly share it around with others in my French class. Please consider me to win this! It would mean so much to me.

I would love it if I could get my hands on The Shadow Throne. I would donate it to someone who’s having a bad day, so they can calm down and enjoy the action the book has to offer. I would want that person to pass the book on to someone else who’s having a hard time, so in the end a whole bunch of people would have read the book and see how great the trilogy really is.

Ok i’m new to this free give-away stuff so I have a couple of questions.
1.Do we enter here or on your website? or do we email you the entry?
2.So in the entry we just write our name, the book, who we plan to give it too and why?
    3. If we win how do we get the book? by mail or something?

    • Reply
      January 19, 2014, 11:59 pm

      1. Here, in comments.
      2. You don’t need your name – that shows up anyway. Just the book and who you’d give it to (even if it’s yourself).
      3. If you win, I’d ask you to send me a mailing address, so I can mail you the book.

      Good luck!

I am in LOVE with The False Prince. As the vice-chair of our state book award committee, I couldn’t recommend it enough to our members. Of the 80+ books I read for consideration this year, it stands head and shoulders above everything else I read. I can’t wait each time it is returned in my school’s library so I can recommend it to the next child. I would love to have The Runaway King. It would go into my school’s library if I were to win.

I would love to win The Runaway King because I simply must know what happens next in the series; also, because once I get my sisters to read The False Prince, which our library has, I’m sure they too would love to have access to the next one.

A Spanish edition of The False Prince would find itself well loved here since my sisters and I are working on learning Spanish since half of our relatives speak it. And because the library in the state we now live in is sorely lacking in foreign editions of books.

Thank you for the great giveaway! Cannot wait till the release of The Shadow Throne (yay for not having long to see how the series ends).

I…er…we (my 10 yr old and I) would of course love to receive The Shadow Throne! We are counting down the days until Feb. 25th. We donated our copy of The False Prince to our local library because we felt it needed to be shared. But then I was so disappointed I donated it because I realized this was series I would want to share with my 6 year old son some day. Needless to say, I ended up buying a kindle version of it for him. We love sharing our books. So after they have done the full family round we either donate them to our local library or a friend who we know will love it as much as we do.

I am just so thanking Jennifer Nielsen for bringing us the finally of the Ascendance trilogy. More powers and I am so looking forward for your new series after this. As Jaron’s story closes, another one opens for Nic in The Praetor Wars.

You are certainly one of the authors to watch. But don’t feel pressured when I say I am gonna be expecting a lot of books from you in the future.

i would love to win an ARC copy of The Shadow Throne for the very simple reason that I can no longer wait. one month is a month too long till its release. i have loved the Ascendance trilogy from the very first word, and “meeting” Jaron is an adventure in itself. after i read it to my heart’s content, it will be passed on to my 9 year old daughter who loves adventure books as much as I do (who has her own section in the family library).
    Thanks so much…

I would like a signed copy of Runaway King. I’d be donating it to myself because I have a signed copy of The False Prince it would look lovely next to. It’s a bookplate signed copy, but, hey, it’s signed and I collect signed books.

I know, I’m going for all 3…Sorry, but this is for the paperback of a False Prince because I think my niece and nephews would really enjoy the series so I’d actually donate it to my mom so she can keep it in her library for the grandkids to read when they come visit. I think she would also enjoy it too.

    Hi!
When you came to our school last spring, I fell in love with your books. I think that the false prince and the runaway king are both great books and I haveread them both several times. I would love an ARC copy of the shadow throne. When I finish it, I will lend it to anyone in the class who wants it. (It will be a very long line, the series is very popular)

My students here at school have read the covers off The False Prince! It has been read so many times, it is falling apart. It would be the greatest gift I could give to go on morning announcements and let our students know that I received a brand new copy of The False Prince. Please consider me….

I am entering this contest in hopes to win the ARC copy of The Shadow Throne for myself. As selfish as this may seem, I will be able to read the final book in the trilogy before others I know have a chance to read it and spoil everything for me. Ever since I first read The False Prince, I started counting down until the release of The Runaway King. Once The Runaway King was in stores, I devoured it all it two days and started my count down until the release of The Shadow Throne. Unfortunately, since I live in Canada I will have to wait just a bit longer than the Americans do to read this book. I’m pretty sure that the wait will totally be worth it in the end. 😀

I’d love to win a copy of The Runaway King! And… to be honest, I’d donate it to my bookshelf, so it could sit next to my copy of The False Prince and look pretty. 😉 My whole family loved the first two books of the trilogy, and we’re looking forward to the third one’s release in February.

I would absolutely love an ARC of The Shadow Throne! Any of the other books sound amazing though. I would donate the book to my library, or if I could get a Spanish copy I would definitely give it to my Spanish teacher, she deserves it for all the hard work she does for us.

I would love to win the Shadow Throne because I am completely hooked on this book series! My friend told me to read it awhile back, and though I was hesitant, I am now utterly enthralled with them. Getting a free copy would be really great, since my local library is really really small and probably wouldn’t get it for several months after it came out. If I got a free copy, I could even donate it after I finished so that the other kids in my town could read the whole series as well! It would mean so much to me if I won – I truly LOVE your writing style, particularly the first person limited viewpoint that you used in the first two. You helped inspire me to go into writing, and for that I can’t thank you enough!

    Let’s see. Let’s see.
    A) I would like to win (and I quote the amazing Jennifer Nielsen) “1 of 10 signed hardcover copies of Book 2 THE RUNAWAY KING.” (Haaaah…Flatter won’t get you anywhere.)
    B) I plan to “donate” it to…myself, which sounds awfully conceited. Why? Well, short story long: As I was embarking on a long, yet enjoyable journey through the Runaway King with Jaron as my guide, I found myself overwhelmingly enthralled by the excitement and entertainment that danced on the pages before me. Languid from sleep deprivation that usually accompanied amazing books , I reached for my…forty-seventh cup of coffee, but to my dismay, with a little (maybe mighty) nudge to the cup, it spilled and ultimately eradicated, or even desecrated, my copy.
I was planning to buy a new copy, but your contest suddenly appeared, so I thought I might as well try. Although I would love the arc of Shadow Throne, having a SIGNED copy from one of my favorite authors would be extremely invigorating!

I would love to win The Shadow Throne. I loved the other two in the series, and I can’t wait to find out what Jaron does next. It’s just a shame this is a trilogy and not an ongoing series! I’ll miss the characters when it’s over.
I would also like to donate a copy to my local middle school library, because I think a lot of students could get a great deal of enjoyment from this book.

I would the Shadow Throne for a classroom copy for students to borrow. We have read the False Prince together, are currently reading the Runaway King together, and many are looking to move onto the third book in the trilogy.

They are enjoying this journey with Sage, and the characters, plot, and theme have been essential in capturing the more reluctant readers.

I’m always looking for translations (French Creole, Spanish, or Portuguese) as well.

We are a seventh grade classroom at a school outside Boston, MA with a large low-income population (80% receive free or reduced lunch and 45% live below poverty level). For many, owning a book of their own is not a reality.

Any books to giveaway or use in my classroom would be appreciated.
