To all winners, I have sent you either an email or contacted you via Twitter. Please reply! I’ll assume you want the book signed to you unless you let me know otherwise.

If you didn’t win, no worries – the book will be out on August 25th. You can pre-order now from your favorite bookstore, online, or ask your local library to bring in copies.

If you were hoping for a signed book, I’ll be holding a launch party for the book at The King’s English in Salt Lake City at 7 pm on Sept 9th. If you pre-order from them, I’ll sign the book for you that night. You can also find me at Houston’s Tweens Read Festival on Oct 3, and other events that I’ll be announcing soon.

Can you tell me what your plan was? I really enjoy reading/hearing other peoples ideas, as for me, I had a plan to get these items: a very strong Rope or Wire must be long, and a bow and arrow or a crossbow. Anyways I would tie the wire to the Arrow, and shoot it over the wall( my friend pointed out that I didn’t have an Anchor to hold down the rope so there would be nothing holding it, so decided to not add it in), of course I would need to be somewhere high, but then I would Tie the Wire to me and start climbing!

That is very clever! This is mine: first, I would pull a Ponzy Scheme, which means that I would attempt a long con. I would impersonate a man, and enlist as a guard. I would then work for a while, actually doing my job, and keeping my record spotless, and then run when I had a chance. If I stayed long enough, I would eventually work my way to guarding the back, making it far easier to escape. One would have to be wary of the various weaponry, and positions of fellow soldier to do this, though. Seeing that I am a woman, however this may not pass. Then, I would find someone with a convertible, and a burning want to cross the border. I would then let a little air out of the tires, and remove the windshield. Then, I would drive under the barrier. Lastly, if that didn’t work. I would find the highest point possible, and shoot a chord across the wall, and then hipline with the hope that I won’t get shot. So, that basically sums up what I would do. If I was EXTREMELY desperate, I would try to establish a friendship, or romantic relationship with one of the guards, causing him to possibly help me escape. However, that would be very cruel, and definitely my last, and most desperate attempt.

Just like Sophia, I had so much fun devising my plan. My original plan was three times longer than the one I posted, but I didn’t get sent through so I had to re-write it. That was so much fun. 😀

Congrats to all the winners!!! May I ask whether this book (“A Night Divided”) will come in a hardbound copy? or a paperback one Miss Jen? I hope it is a paperback one (in order to save money hehe…). I am planning to buy one Miss Jen and I am gonna start saving money now in my piggy bank to be able to have a copy when it release in August.

Sorry, Lemuel, it’ll be hardcover, but you can wait until summer 3016 for it to go into paperback, if you’d prefer that. Whenever you get a chance to read it, I hope you’ll enjoy it!

From what I know, its a Advanced Copy, but I think i’m wrong

You’re mostly right: Advanced Reader’s Copy. These are the paperback books that get sent to reviewers and bookstore owners before the final book is printed. They’re mostly the same as the final, but may have some different printing on the cover, since it’s intended for those audiences. But I always try to give away the copies I receive to readers.

If your school does a Scholastic book fair, then you can probably buy the paperback there, and I imagine it’ll be around five or six dollars. If not, then this book won’t go to paperback until sometime next summer.
