Canada – I didn’t forget about you!

Hello Northern Neighbors!

How about a giveaway of THE TRAITOR’S GAME just for you?

Scholastic Canada has just posted their spring line-up of titles. Click on any title and it will take you to an excerpt you can read. Now, of course I hope you’ll click on THE TRAITOR’S GAME, and I hope you’ll love what you read and then pre-order yourself a copy right now…

BUT…

If you leave a comment about what other book on that list you’re excited to read, it’ll count as an entry for you to win a signed copy of THE TRAITOR’S GAME!

There is one catch…

If there are fewer than ten Canadian entries, then I will accept comments from anywhere else in the world. So if your address is outside Canada, still leave your comment, but put “Non-Canadian” or “NC” in your comment. The contest will close in one week, at midnight EST on Jan 19, 2018.

AND…

If you read THE TRAITOR’S GAME excerpt and decided to get your own copy, you can visit your local Indie bookstore, or links are provided below. This is the first book in a new series and will release on Feb 27, 2018!

Just one? There are some great books on that list. Two that stand out (and will be going on my want to read list) are Ink and Good Dog. I read Dan Gemeinhart’s Honest Truth and Some Kind of Courage last year and was blown away. Of course, Traitor’s Game is on my list too.

I am excited to read many of these. Aside from The Traitor’s Game, I saw Good Dog in the Scholastic flyer for February, which was shocking because I thought it was out in March. The Serpent’s Secret interests me, The Parker Inheritance is on my list, and Not if I Save You First. Thanks for thinking of us up here, Jennifer. I likely need multiple copies of this one!

Ok, I’m super excited for Traitor’s Game, but I LOVED SuperGifted! (Yes, I already bought and read it) If you haven’t read the first book UnGifted, you need to right now before anything else. Gordon Korman is a great author and I love his books too, especially the Mastermind series. I got my whole family to listen to it, and they were on edge the whole time. NC

Oh, I don’t know which one I’m most looking forward too! The first one I’m gonna read is “The Journey of Little Charlie”, the next would probably be “Don’t Tell the Enemy”, and the third would be either “the Parker Inheritance”, or “Not if I Save You First”.

I’m so excited you’re doing a giveaway for Canadian readers! I often find I can’t enter giveaways because they’re “continental US only.”

I am most excited for “Traitor’s Game,” of course, but “Ink” and “Don’t Tell My Enemy” look interesting as well.

I am definitely looking forward to reading Supergifted by Gordon Korman. My boys have both read it, and I loved listening to them chat about it together in their own little book club. We have read the Ascendance Trilogy together as a family two times over the past few years, and we are on our third read of the trilogy now. We read at least a chapter every night, and it always leaves us wanting more. What an amazing trilogy! I really hope it one day makes it to the screen, but for now we’re happy to read it over and over and over, and to have it come to life in our imaginations!!

Non Canadian – Traitor’s game is the top of my list of course, but “Don’t tell the enemy” and “Ink” also look interesting. I enjoy historical fiction, if they’re well done, and it’d be cool to read a World war 2 story from the point of view of a friend of the Jews. I read Follow the Stars a long time ago and really liked it for similar reasons. “Ink” might be above my intensity level, (at the very least I might have to finish it in one sitting) but the story’s set up of recording actions on people’s skin seems like an interesting background. It reminds me of the kid’s book “Punchinello”.

Of course, I’m going to say the Traitor’s Game, but I’m also really intrigued by Ink by Alice Broadway. I like the premise, and I’ll probably get it from the library haha! I don’t read a lot of mysteries, but I’m very familiar with fantasies, so Ink is like a different read but still in my comfort zone!
