THE TRAITOR’S GAME Trailer! Jennifer Nielsen February 16, 2018

THE TRAITOR’S GAME Trailer!

The trailer for THE TRAITOR’S GAME will appear on my website soon and on YouTube, but for now, it gets to debut in a most exciting place – Entertainment Weekly! Please click through to watch it, then tell your friends to click through and watch it and then if you like it, come back and tell me what you think! (Okay, even if you didn’t like it, you can still come back and tell me.)

Most exciting to me is that the trailer was done almost entirely by my family, and every one of them played a role.

The narrator is my daughter, Sierra. The animation and modeling was done by my husband, Jeff, and two sons, Chase and Bridger. They hired out the modeling of the dagger and the artwork for the King’s playing card to some very talented people, but otherwise, what you see is the amazing work of those I love most in the world.

In case you missed the link above, it’s HERE. And remember, THE TRAITOR’S GAME will be released on February 27th.

If you want to see me in person, check out the Events page for my public events. Otherwise, you can pre-order a copy and get some neat-0 swag, including a signed bookplate for your purchased book.

I’m so excited that I’ll be able to read it in 7 days, roughly. The trailer looked and sounded amazing. I love how well it conveyed how much strategy and scheming this book will involve.

Hi! We are doing a project for school and we have the choice to ask someone famous about their opinion. So we thought that we would ask you! So……. Do you think that technology is killing friendships? If you could awnser, that would be WONDERFUL!
We love your books! You are our FAVORITE author! Thanks!😊

Hi ladies – thanks for the kind words and compliments. I think that technology is hurting social skills – the idea of having a face to face conversation, or even over the phone conversation. And that in turn will affect friendships. I hate seeing people in a room together, each of them huddled over their phones because that device is more interesting and relevant to them than the real people around them. There are some positives: social media can help people stay in touch with each other’s lives, it’s nice to be able to reach and find people when they’re out, or to check in more easily than we otherwise used to be able to do, but I don’t think it’s an equal trade-off for the cost of technology. I don’t think it’s necessarily killing friendships, but I do think it has a negative impact on relationships.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I am already ready for the next book. Kestra is such a strong and courageous girl. I can’t wait to talk with my students about their views on the different characters. Thanks for always keeping me (and my students) wanting more.
