RISE OF THE WOLF is released!

RISE OF THE WOLF has been released! I love this book, and I’m so excited for you all to read it!

RISEOFWOLF_XLG

Here’s the Goodreads summary: Nic may have escaped enslavement in the mines outside of Rome, but his troubles are far from over. The Praetor War–the battle to destroy Rome from within–is in full force, and Nic is caught in the crossfire. The secretive Praetors are determined to unlock a powerful amulet–one sure to bring the empire to its knees. Worse, the Praetors believe Nic holds the key to finding this amulet, and they will stop at nothing to steal it, even if that means harming the people Nic holds most dear.

When the Praetors capture Nic’s mother, Nic knows he must do anything to save her. He challenges the Praetors to a chariot race. If he wins, they will release his mother. But if he loses, he must hand over a magic that will certainly destroy Rome and end his own life. Can Nic once again harness his magic and gather the strength to defeat his enemies? Or will he lose his mother and bear witness to Rome’s destruction?

I really think you’re going to love this one – it’s dangerous and funny, has some great chariot racing scenes, and a few surprises I don’t think you’ll expect!

You need to have read Book 1, MARK OF THE THIEF, before starting into this one. But if you’re ready for this book, you can ask your local librarian to get a copy or pick up your own copy in most places where you buy books (if they don’t have it – ask them to order it for you!). If you want to find it online, here are some places you can try:

Indiebound

Amazon

Barnes & Noble

Indigo

Also, from last week’s final ARC giveaway, the winner today is:

Aaron Cleaveley

That’s all the giveaways for now, but watch later this summer for ARC giveaways of my fall book, THE SCOURGE.

I purchased Rise of the Wolf the day it came out (so exciting). I FINALLY finished it today! Thank you for this amazing story! There are things I really want to mention, but won’t because of spoilers.
It’s going to be a long, long year.

Yes if you are ok with that and maybe 2 because my friend Nathaniel like the false prince series so I let him read my mark of the thief. He enjoyed it very much so I’m letting him read the rise of the wolf so he’d probably want one also. Where’d did you come up with this Gertrude fritz and Greta thing? Very nice names for characters I’m at the part where Gerta stole the pulley. Can’t wait to finish!!!!

The wolf wasn’t included much in the book but it was the title why?

Because of the significance of the Malice of Mars, guarded by Mars’s animal, the wolf.

After reading Mark of the Thief, my entire family – well at least the teens and tweens were anxiously awaiting the Rise of the Wolf. I surprised them Monday by buying it on Audible and we had a homeschooling Pajama Day and listened to it for 4.5 hours. My husband cheated and finished it late one night after the kids went to bed. We finally finished listening to it yesterday and we LOVED it. Even the nine year old who didn’t read the first book. We are anxiously awaiting the next book. Thank you for such a great story.

Nic should meet Sage.I love how you put character into both of them, and each have unique traits. like sage, is very proud, never runs, and always confident. Nic is different, he just wants a quiet life, without trouble, and doesn’t like to start fights. Just thought it was interesting how it’s like that

That’s very perceptive, Gobi, and you’re right – Nic and Sage do have their similarities, but to me they are very different in their approach to problems. It’d be interesting if they mt.

Mrs. Nielsen, I am a middle school student and I have always enjoyed reading. I am known to my friends and family as “The Book Nerd”, and I am definitely proud of it! I have read so many different book series that it would be impossible to count. My favorites were formally Harry Potter, Fablehaven, and The Hunger Games. That is, they WERE my favorites, until I started reading your books! The Ascendance Trilogy simply AMAZED me. I made my neighbor read them, and she LOVED them. One year later, we are STILL talking about this series. Admittedly, I thought there would never be a better series than that one, but I am beginning to think Mark of the Thief is my all time favorite. I read Rise of the Wolf in one day, and am going crazy waiting for the next one! Do you have a release date for book three yet? I simply ADORE your work! You have such an amazing writing style! Your books are never boring and always have such unpredictable twists! It is awesome. I am planning to read your Night Divided next and can’t wait for The Scourge. Thank you so much for writing such amazing books!

it is a pretty long wait for book three of Mark of the Thief, so I just found this book on Barnes and Noble by Charlotte Bronte, called Jane Eyre. I was just wondering if you would suggested it. I can not find a good book cause I still haven’t gotten over Mark of the Thief. It’s so awesome and I can’t wait until the third book! So excited. The wait is totally worth it!
